Job Description
Overview:
Healthcare System Impact Syndicate Africa (ACSIS) is a non-profit non-governmental organization that focuses on bringing quality health care to the most vulnerable population through innovation, community engagement, behavioral change, and service delivery and system strengthening. We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a part-time Nutritionist/ Dietitian on a fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on various nutrition-related projects and take on additional challenges as they arise.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on nutrition-related topics, including dietary guidelines, public health initiatives, and emerging trends.
- Develop nutrition programs, initiatives, and interventions aimed at improving community health and nutrition outcomes.
- Plan and implement nutrition education campaigns, workshops, and resources.
- Design and implement nutrition assessment, monitoring, and evaluation activities.
- Contribute to the development of nutrition-related content for various platforms, including websites, social media, and educational materials.
- Collaborate with the communications team to disseminate nutrition messages and promote healthy eating habits.
- Assist in the organization and delivery of nutrition-related workshops, seminars, and community events.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities and challenges as they arise.

Contract Type: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Job Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Nutrition, specifically an MPH in Nutrition, from an accredited institution.
- A strong understanding of public health nutrition principles and practices.
- Knowledge of dietary guidelines, nutrition assessment methods, and behavior change theories.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
