Job Description

 

Overview:

Healthcare System Impact Syndicate Africa (ACSIS) is a non-profit non-governmental organization that focuses on bringing quality health care to the most vulnerable population through innovation, community engagement, behavioral change, and service delivery and system strengthening. As part of our efforts to achieve our objectives, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to join our team. As a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, you will play a crucial role in develop project framework, M&E systems and indicators to capture performance results and provide effective, accurate and timely monitoring, evaluation and reporting of all project activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks and plans for various programs
  • Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to assess program effectiveness and impact
  • Develop and maintain databases and data management systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date program data
  • Contribute to the development of data collection tools, surveys, and questionnaires
  • Conduct field visits to monitor program activities, gather data, and provide technical support to program staff
  • Collaborate with program teams to ensure the integration of M&E processes and findings into program planning and decision-making
  • Prepare comprehensive and timely M&E reports, including progress reports, impact assessments, and recommendations for improvement
  • Support the organization in building capacity in M&E through training and knowledge sharing activities
  • Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in monitoring and evaluation in the field of the project at hand.

Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract

Job Requirements

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Master’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation. First degree health-related field is desirable,
  • Fresh graduate with a strong academic background and a CGPA of >3.0,
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets,
  • Proficient in using statistical analysis software and data management tools,
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present findings and recommendations to diverse stakeholders,
  • Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively,
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Additional IT skills are a plus,
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies, frameworks, and best practices,
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and taking on additional challenges as needed.
