Job description
.
JOB SUMMERY
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Diagnosing and treating illnesses, medical conditions, and injuries.
Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Collecting, recording, and maintaining patients’ information and histories.
Prescribing and administering treatments, therapies, medications, and other specialized medical care.
Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed
treatments with patients and family members.
Monitoring patients’ conditions and progress.
Directing, coordinating, consulting with, and referring patients to nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical stuff.
Advising patients, parents, and guardians on diets, activities, hygiene, and disease prevention
Conducting research and remaining up to date on current trends, discoveries, and devel on the field.

Job Requirement
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:
• Medical Doctorate degree with successful completion of postgraduate studies in pediatrics and Child health
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a private or government hospital Valid license to practice Pediatric and Child Health in Ethiopia.
PREFERABLE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree in public health
Prior Management experience in a hospital set up
KOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Excellent leadership and management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to relate to childre
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks.
Ability to work under minimal supervision with a high degree of autonomy.
Good problem solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to liaise with individuals at all levels within the hospital..
A caring and compassionate nature when working with children and their families.
