To all interested applicants for Postgraduate Training in Health Research Ethics
In the 2023/23 academic years, the School of Public Health, College of Health Sciences at Addis Ababa University is admitting the second cohort of students for MPH in Health Research Ethics Track in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University in the US (AAU-JHU-RETP), which is supported by R25 research education grant funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH) (https://grantome.com/grant/NIH/R25-TW001604-18A1). Trainees will conduct studies at AAU on public health research methods and approaches in general as well as on ethics issues in health research of national and international relevance. Trainees will have exposure to faculty, scholarship, and resources both at AAU and JHU. Graduates of the program will receive high-quality training and mentorship by local and international faculty to gain competencies in basic research and teaching skills in public health research and the ethics of health systems research of national and international relevance and demonstrable in-depth knowledge in research ethics and application of multidisciplinary approaches to addressing ethical issues in research.
