ABOUT THE POSITON:

The successful candidate will assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with our organization’s programs and initiatives. This internship will provide valuable experience in risk management principles, tools, and techniques, as well as exposure to the public health sector..

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBLITIES

· Assist in conducting risk assessments for public health programs and initiatives, including identifying potential risks, evaluating likelihood and impact, and recommending mitigation strategies.

· Support the development and implementation of risk management plans, policies, and procedures.

· Collaborate with department heads to identify and prioritize key risks and develop risk mitigation plans.

· Assist in monitoring and reporting on risk management activities, including tracking, and analyzing risk data.

· Contribute to the development of training materials and provide training to public health professionals on risk management principles and practices.

· Conduct research and analysis on emerging trends and best practices in risk management, with a focus on public health.

· Support the development of risk management tools and templates, including risk assessment templates, risk management plans, and risk registers.

· Assist in the review and update of existing risk management policies and procedures to ensure they are current and relevant.

· Participate in meetings and workshops with cross-functional teams to discuss risk management strategies and best practices.

· Prepare risk reports and presentations, summarizing key findings and recommendations for management.

· Assist in the development of risk communication materials and training programs for employees.

· Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in risk management.

Job Requirements

 

Education:

University degree in public health, Risk Management or Doctor of Medicine from accredited university or college.

Experience and Technical competencies:

· Fresh graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of experience of professional experience in a similar position.

· Good command of English and Computer Skill

· Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;

· Basic understanding of risk management principles and practices.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and prioritize risks effectively.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and demonstrating a positive attitude.

Desirable qualities, skill, and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel or statistical software, is preferred.
  • Professional certifications in risk management (e.g., CRM, FRM) are desirable.
  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks and methodologies is a plus.
