Job description
Job Summery
Basic Functions: The Senior Project Management Specialist (Deputy Health System Strengthening Team Leader) will provide managerial and technical leadership to USAID/Ethiopia’s Health Office programs, specifically for the HSS learn and under the supervision of the HSS Team Leader. The incumbent will be responsible for a broad range of planning, monitoring, coordination, capacity building, and implementation of activities and the daily operational management of the HSS team, including supervision of up to three (3) staff members.

Job Requirement
Qualifications required:
• Master of Public Health or Social Science, Master of Business Administration, Master of Human Resource Management or Master of Finance. MD preferred but not required. At least 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience working in the Ethiopian public or private health system in Health Systems Strengthening in program management, policy and strategy development. Technical knowledge and experience in Health Systems Strengthening, Performance Based Financing, Health Policy and/or Health Insurance schemes in the context of Public Health. Experience working with the Ethiopian Government, USG health agencies and/or USAID implementing partners. Minimum of two years Staff supervision experience is required
Salary Range: The salary range of the position is FSN -12; $29,075 – $52,355 yearly, articulated in U.S. dollars but paid in Birr
