Job Description


Doctors with Africa CUAMM is an international NGO, based in Italy, established in 1950 to support developing countries in their effort to build sustainable and accessible health systems.

CUAMM started its mission in Ethiopia in 1980 and is currently operating in Addis Ababa, Wolisso, Gambella, Jigjiga, Jinka and Debre-Berhan.

·        Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly plans for the ongoing project activity and the performance progress report.

·        Develop a TOR for various project activities and support the PM in the implementation.

·        Conduct joint planning & monitoring activities in collaboration with government partners to ensure the sustainability of project activities.

·        Provide technical assistance to the Woreda Health Offices, and health facilities, through engaging in maternal child and newborn program interventions

·        Coordinated and conducted regular field visits to provide post-training follow-up.

·        Conduct regular monthly supportive supervision with other project staff, compile and submit any narrative reports.

·        Coordinate and conduct integrated/joint supportive supervision of the health centres, and Hospital, document findings and recommendations of field visits for follow-up action

·        Participates in, quarterly review meetings, quarter supervisions and program monitoring

·        Ensure that feedback from supportive supervision visits, and review meetings are applied in the facilities for continuous improvement in maternal child and new-born interventions

·        Facilitate capacity-building training carried out during the project implementation period.

·        Build strong partnerships and work closely with woreda, zone and other non-government partners

·        Document and share best practice challenges and lesson leant

·        Ensure and strengthen that a proper referral system is established

·        In collaboration with the M&E officer and other project staff collect monthly project data from the health facilities and hospital.

·        In collaboration with the project manager and M&E officer regularly update PMP, OP and DHIS 2


·        Support any additional assignment, according to the position, given by the project manager


Job Requirements


•   Minimum  Educational qualification – BSc degree in  Health related fields

•   Minimum  Work experience  – From 2 to 5 years of progressive work experience

•  Above 2 years experience in International NGO is considered as an asset.
